Kudoboard videos are a fantastic tool to share memorable moments, express appreciation, or celebrate milestones. These videos are essentially digital montages of photos and/or videos, contributed by multiple people, and can be shared virtually, making them a perfect fit for our digital age.
What is a Kudoboard Video?
A Kudoboard video is a unique feature offered by Kudoboard that allows you to create a photo and/or video montage. It’s an easy and fun process that requires your Kudoboard to have slideshow functionality. This feature comes with different types of boards including Milestone boards, Memorial boards, Company Event boards, Graduation boards, and boards created through Business and Enterprise plans.
How to Create a Kudoboard Video?
Creating a Kudoboard video involves few steps:
- Upgrade your board (if necessary): If you currently have a free Mini board or a Premium board, your board can be upgraded to a Milestone board at any time. Upgrading your board to Milestone enables it to have slideshow functionality and accept an unlimited number of board posts. You may check for latest prices of boards here.
- Invite contributors: The next step is to invite contributors so that they can add their posts to the board. Encourage your contributors to add photos or videos to their posts, which will then be compiled into a slideshow.
- Play your slideshow: After you create the Kudoboard, no additional steps are needed to create the slideshow. A slideshow of the current board posts can be played at any time by clicking “Play Slideshow”. This button is located on the board as well as in your Dashboard.
Customizing Your Kudoboard Video
Kudoboard provides various options to customize your video:
- Show Title, Skip Videos, or Show QR Code: By default, the title of your board will not show when the slideshow is played. However, you can have the title show during the slideshow by clicking Settings > Toggle on “Show title”.
Depending on the length of the videos on the board, you might prefer to click Settings > Toggle on “Skip videos” so that videos aren’t played while playing the slideshow.
Additionally, if you’d like to invite individuals to add to your board during a live event, or provide easy access to the board while the slideshow is being viewed, you might want to display the QR code for your board on the slideshow. To do so, click Settings > Show QR Code.
- Customize the order of play: If you want the board posts to play on the slideshow in a particular order, this can be achieved by modifying the order of the posts on the board itself. To move a post on the board, click the four-arrow icon on the upper right-hand corner of the post and drag the post to your preferred location. After moving posts, click the “Play Slideshow” button to play the slideshow with the updated order.
- Download the slideshow: As the board creator, you have the option to download the slideshow by selecting Settings > Export video, if you want a permanent copy of the slideshow.
